WD5GIC Repeater System (owned by Ronnie Franklin, supported by HCARC)
by Ronnie Franklin
The WD5GIC Repeater System started as a single repeater in late 1990. The repeater was intended to provide my family a 440mhz repeater in the Granbury area. Since then, the single repeater has grown to an 7 repeater system. The present configuration and status of each repeater is as listed below.
147.080 - PL 88.5 - Granbury - Operational
224.340 - PL 88.5 - Granbury - Operational
442.025 - PL 88.5 - Granbury - Operational
442.275 - PL 88.5 - Comanche - Operational
442.575 - PL 88.5 - Weatherford - Waiting for tower work
443.225 - PL 88.5 - Alvarado - Waiting for tower work
443.050 - PL 88.5 - Fort Worth - Operational
Each repeater in the system is designed to be linked to all the other repeaters when needed. At the present time the 147.08, 223.34, 442.575, and 443.050 repeaters are the only ones that are linked together. All other operational repeaters are in stand alone mode.
Granbury: 147.08, 224.34, 442.575
These repeaters are presently all linked together and cover the Granbury/Hood County area very well.
Alvarado: 443.225
This repeater needed some repair and is awaiting re-installation.
Comanche: 443.275
This repeater is in operation and covers a large portion of Comanche County. Presently, it is not linked to the rest of the system.
Weatherford: 442.575
This repeater is presently off line, waiting installation at the tower.
Fort Worth: 443.050
443.050 is in operation and covers most of Fort Worth, Arlington and parts of Dallas.
